Walkers
Old school infant walkers have fallen out of style for a few reasons. The first is that they don’t actually help kiddos learn to walk or increase leg strength. The second is that they are a safety hazard. Kids in old school walkers have a tendency to go places they shouldn’t, reach and touch things they shouldn’t, and fall down or into things they have no business being near like stairs. So, because of these reasons, the American Academy of Pediatrics and various other governing bodies have put a kybosh on old school baby walkers. Activity centers with buttons and doodads to keep kids entertained while in a standing position are a great alternative as long as your kiddo cannot move the station independently.
